POPup

This main task is to understand the concepts of construction, deconstruction, and reconstruction during the design process of a self-standing lighting design out of found objects. The structural elements of each student’s design should include 3 found objects out of 3 different materials (wood, plastic, metal, glass, etc.) where he/she is expected to break into the code of assembly of an object by which repurposes, challenges and surprising results may occur. Furthermore, their design is to be placed within an ongoing exhibition at Uniq Expo on Andy Warhol and Pop Art. Students’ designs are to fit structurally, formally, and functionally to the concept of the exhibition.
